The Right Reverend Paul Butler, Bishop of Durham, visited the autism charity Daisy Chain on Teesside, during his recent prayer walks in the Stockton area.

Bishop Paul paid a visit to the Daisy Chain superstore on Portrack Lane, Stockton and later he visited the home of the charity, Calf Fallow farm in Norton. The Bishop and his party were greeted and given a guided tour of the facilities by the chief executive Judith Haysmore. During his visit to the Day Centre he was presented with a painting made by one of the children who attend the facility.
Commenting on his visit Bishop Paul said: “It was a delight to visit Daisy Chain during my recent prayer walks, the work that they do and the way that they do it is really inspiring. They were great host and the facilities both on Portrack Lane and in the Norton were very impressive.”
Judith Haysmore, Daisy Chain Chief Executive said: “We were honoured to welcome Bishop Paul to Daisy Chain and showcase the important work that we do here. It was lovely that the Bishop had the chance to meet some of the young people who have used our services and hear how Daisy Chain has helped them.”
Bishop Paul visited Daisy Chain during his recent Prayer Walk in the Darlington & Stockton area which started in Darlington on ascension day Thursday 5th May 2016 and ended in Stockton on Pentecost Sunday 15th May 2016. The prayer walks are aimed at allowing him to meet people, get to know the area and pray for it and its people.
