The charity whose aim is: ‘To enable young people to explore the realities of marriage and lasting relationships in our society today’, asked Bishop Paul to become a Patron because of his work with children and young people and as a champion of families and welfare in the House of Lords.

Bishop Paul said: “I was delighted to be asked to become patron of ‘EXPLORE’. Having shared some of their work when I was Bishop of Southampton and seen its value, it made it easy and a delight to accept the invitation.

“The work of the charity is closely aligned to that of the Church and so it was an easy decision to make in saying yes.”

The Charity’s founder Rex Chester said: “We are very excited that Bishop Paul has graciously agreed to become one of our patron’s. The work we do with young people shows time and time again that they value ‘Family’ and ‘Strong Relationships’, having Bishop Paul as one of our Patrons adds enormously to our profile and our work with young people.
